DAY 1
BANGKOK – RATCHABURI – KANCHANBURI
Depart from Bangkok early for transfer to Damnersaduak pier, located in the Racthanburi Province. See a vibrant and vivacious floating market with hundreds of trading ‘Sampans’ (small wooden boat) loaded with fruits, vegetables and other goods. Continue onwards to Kanchanaburi, where we will see the historic Kwai’s Bridge and finally board a train that goes to the Death Railway (Tham Kasae Station).

DAY 2
KANCHANABURI – NAKORN – AYUTTHAYA
Visit the Hell Fire Pass Museum, then travel by boat to Lawa cave. Visit Prasat Mueang Sing Historical Park. Today’s itinerary offers the occasion to enjoy the lush forest and wildlife that
surrounds the river Kwai. Departure to Ayutthaya and arrival in the late afternoon. Remaining day is free for leisure.

DAY 3
AYUTTHAYA – LOPURI – NAKORN RATCHASIMA
Discover Ayutthaya, the capital of Siam and appreciate the majestic memories of this ancient city with visits to the temples of Wat Sri Sanpeth, Wihan Mongkon Borphit and Wat Pranangchern island. Continue on to Lopburi, One of Thailand’s oldest cities and home to an array of palaces and temples from the Khmer and Ayuthaya empires. Visit the Phra Narai Ratchaniwet and Wat Phra Putthabat. Cross the plateau of the Isaan and see numerous Khmer monuments, Arrive at Nakorn Ratchasima, once known as Korat late in the afternoon.

DAY 4
NAKORN RATCHASIMA – PHIMAI – BURIRAM
Depart from Nakorn Ratchasima to visit the archaeological park of Phimai, located along the Mun’s river. Phimai is one stupendous temple built by the old Khmers in the end of the XI century with such grandiose dimensions. In the afternoon, continue with a visit to two other famous Khmer temples: Phanom Rung and Muang Tam, located near the Cambodian border. Arrival at Buriram, a land of volcanoes and ancient Khmer Civilization.

DAY 5
BURIAM – ARANYAPREATHET – POIPET BORDER – BATTAMBANG
Continue overland with a visit to the provinces of Ban Kruat and Prasat Ban Khok Ngio. Continue with a visit to Sakeo province where we will visit Prasat Kao and Kao Lon. Afterwards, stop by the Market of Ban before we reach the Khlong Luek border to Cambodia. Customs formalities and entrance in Cambodia at Poipet. (*** Border crossing on your own – no guide ***)
Greetings on arrival in Cambodia from your tourguide. Pick up and transfer to Battambang a town famous for its French colonial architecture, fertile soil, rice fields, orchards and the mining of rubies and garnets. Withh your tourguide visit numerous villages to learn about local specialities and handicafts such as the production of rice paper, and Prahok (fish paste) and Krolan (sticky rice in bamboo). End the evening seeing a spectacular cultural show, called the Phare Circus.

DAY 6
BATTAMBANG
Explore Battambang first with a visit to the Ek Phnom Temple the to the Temple of Phnom Banan. Continue our tour with a visit to the one and only vineyard producing wine in Cambodia. Then to Phnom Sampeou a natural rock formation consisting of a series of caves, a former stronghold of the Khmer Rouge. Some of the caves were used as “killing caves”; victims’ skeletons
are still preserved here. After see two century old ancient houses. End the day with a ride on the Bamboo Train, a rustic transportation consisting of small platforms leading to Phnom Penh. If time permits , take a stroll to see some of Battambang’s share of art galleries and cultural spaces.

DAY 7
BATTAMBANG – SIEM REAP
Continue driving to Siem Reap, along the way we will visit the Sleeping Giant “Banteay Chhmar”. From here see the magnificent carvings of Lokesvara with 32 arms as well as the beautiful but
ruined Hall of Dancers. After clambering about among this sleeping giant, we continue to explore the outer complex, including the outer gate of Ta Prohm, Thom gates and the jungle-clad face-tower of Samnang Tasok. If time permists see visit the Soiries du Mekong Silk Center, a silk-waving school created to help keep women and their families in the village and improve their livelihoods. Arrive in Siem Reap where our historical journey ends.
